This sculptural shifter is from a beautiful piece of Italian stone. A very unique piece I was able to get with a little bit of everything you can find in alabaster. Highly translucent varying tones of brown and tan that you can see deep down into. The light veining somehow remind me of worn and stressed leather. The front face of gray is a mixture of rocky and crystalline formations that I tried to make look like hand wear. This was one of my favorite stones to carve.
